Speaking at the gathering after declare opening the "Hela Bojun" outlet at the Common Canteen of the SEUSL, Prof. Najim said that at a time when Government has been implementing various measures to prosper a healthy society free from communicable and non-communicable diseases, opening an out let of food court of this nature is appreciable and praiseworthy It's pave the way for prospering a better environmental of food policy to preserve. This should be maintained and the University Community should extend their fullest co-operation to make this venture meaningful.
Adding further Prof. Najim said that "Hel Bojun", first of its kind in the region and one and only out let established in the Universities in the Island by the Department of provides all kinds of traditional foods prepared without any artificial ingredients. The nutritious food that are served here keeps one fit and healthy to concentrate in the academic affairs of the students and the Staff. He also advised the academic and nonacademic Staff to be cautious in their food habits and keep maintaining a healthy situation and those who fail to concentrate in these good habits may fall into unnecessary health disasters and give problems to others as well. Hence, he appealed to all to keep maintain a good food habit, so that we can build up a healthy society.
Prof. Najim also thanked the Staff of the Department of Agriculture and Welfare Unit who worked hard to make this reality.
The Head of the Palamunai Agricultural College and Deputy Director of Agriculture FFA Saneer also addressed the gathering. Deans Dr.S Gunapalan, Dr. MS Junaideen, Dr.SMM Mazahir, Dr. MG Tharique and ML. Fouzul Ameer, Registrar H .Abdul Saththar, Bursar Faseelur Rahuman, Senior Asst. Registrar -Welfare MH Naffar, Senior Asst. Registrars and other Heads of Departments too were also present.
At the conclusion of the program "Kiribath' and "Sambol" were served to the guests and visitors present here while varieties of tradition foods prepared then and there by the cooks were also displayed to the customers.
