Freshers Day on the theme "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you will land among the Stars" organized by the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka 2012/13 Batch of Faculty of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language was held at the University Examination Hall last week.

Participating as a Special Guest on this Day, Dr. A Rameez, Director, Students Support Services and Welfare Unit said that holding events of this nature bring an enthusiastic atmosphere and fresh encouragements among all sections of the student. In the meantime, they also should not forget why they came here and what should be their motive.

Adding further Dr. Ramees said that this is a nice opportunity for the fresher's to strengthen their friendship with their senior students who are supposed to be their opponents. He also advised the senior students to guide the juniors and that they should advise them whenever they are in need of their services.

Dean of the Faculty of Management and Commerce Dr. S.Gunapalan in his address said that this day should pave the way for each and every one of the Seniors to know every one of the fresher and strengthen their friendship.
