A large number of female students responded enthusiastically to the call of Blood Donation Campaign organized by the Social Service Department of the Muslim Majlis of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka held at the Medical Centre of the University on Tuesday.

The Campaign themed at "Donate Blood and Save Lives" presided over by the President of the Majlis Mulavi KM Ihsan was attended by the Dean FIA As-Sheikh SMM Mazahir, Senior Lectures and Senior Treasurer Dr. ALA Rauf and other Staff the Kalmunai Ashraff Memorial Hospital. President of the Social Service Unit MRM Fazal delivered the welcome address.

Dr. MS Nuzzrath and Dr. Kanchana Seneviratne of Blood Bank of the Ashraff Memorial Hospital played major role in the Blood Donation campaign and a total of 117 students voluntarily came forward to donate their bloods.

At the conclusion of the Blood Donation students and Staff of the University were given mementos as a mark of appreciation in donating blood. It was also announced that South Eastern University takes the prime place in donating maximum quantity of blood during their campaigns.
