Office of Strategic Planning and Implementation Monitoring (OSPIM) of South Eastern University of Sri Lanka organized a workshop for action planning 2018 on 10th of Aug 2017. This workshop was conducted in a participatory and consultative approach with the objective of planning and preparing the action plan for the financial year 2018. The programme was chaired by Prof. MMM. Najim, the Vice Chancellor/SEUSL. The vice chancellor announced in this workshop that the OSPIM plans for a comprehensive review of its strategic plan 2014-18 with the intention of implementing immediate measures fostering the achievement of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) designated in the Strategic Plan 2014-2018.

All deans of faculties, registrar, bursar, heads of the departments, directors of various centers and units of the university and administrative staff participated in this event and showed their enthusiastic engagement in planning sessions. Mr. H.M. Nijam, the Director, OSPIM in his presentation emphasized that that these types of initiatives are and will be implemented with the objective of achieving maximum harmonization and alignment of the university's yearly actions and budget with long term directions and desires of the entity and Sri Lanka's national policy priorities in higher education. OSPIM also plans to conduct series of a comprehensive planning and consultative sessions in 2018 with the objective of preparing university's Strategic Plan for the next medium term to reckon from 2019 to 2023.
