The "Bakthi Gee" chanted by the students were the highlights of the poson. The Undergraduates decorated the University premises with colourful Poson Lanterns. Further "Bhodi Boojah" was also organized by the students with the intention of praying for illumination and wisdom.
In view of this, "Poson Seela Campaign" too was organized by the Students of the Faculty of Management and Commerce at Akkaraipattu Sri Vijayarama Buddhist Temple under the patronage of the Chief Priest Ven. Dewagoda Soratha Thero where a large number of students participated in the "Seela campaign"
The students of the Engineering Faculty played a major role in organizing this event.
