The Workshop conducted under the guidance of the Vice-Chancellor Prof. MMM Najim was presided over by the SDC Director Dr. MIM Jazeel.
Eng. A.L.A. Wahab, Examiner of Motor Vehicle, Dept. of Motor Traffics, District Secretariat, Ampara, Mr. L.A. Ranjith Priyanth, Managing Director, Marshal Auto Service, Ampara and Dr. A.A. Mohamed Fuhaim, Medical Officer in Charge, Sports and Exercise Medicine, Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa participated as resource personnel and they conducted their lectures on the following topics:
> Defensive driving skills,
> Road rules and regulations in Sri Lanka,
> Vehicle control, safety features and vehicle handling,
> Discipline and Economic driving,
> Vehicle familiarization and its regular maintenance,
> First Aid Training and coping with urgent situation and
> Tiredness and fatigue management.
At the conclusion of the sessions, the drivers raised various question to clear their doubts and problems.
