During his recent visit to South Eastern University, Dr. Faiz Mustapha, PC, the Chancellor of the university, met with the students’ representatives and actively listened to their grouses. They asked about their urgent need for rugby coaching facilities at the university. The Chancellor immediately made an arrangement to address the need for rugby coaching for the students with the support of Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) and asked the Vice Chancellor, Prof. A.Rameez, to liaise with Mr. Rizly Ilyas, the President of Sri Lanka Rugby. As a result, he sent four prominent rugby coaches to the SEUSL. The Chancellor also made a request to the Vice Chancellor to make the necessary arrangements for these two days of training for the students. Accordingly, rugby training was inaugurated at the Oluvil campus of the university this morning.
