UGC Chairman Prof. Mohan de Silva who was here on a fact finding mission along with his Officials declared open the Exhibition by cutting the ribbon and opened for the Academics and students of the University.
Valuable text books, Standards, Professional publications and other materials on Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Inter disciplinary subjects for all four years Modules in their relevant field were displayed at the Exhibition. UGC Chairman who was highly impressed by the exhibition appreciated the tireless efforts of Library Staff in organizing this exhibition systematically and methodically.
The Electric Ladder invented by the Staff of the Mechanical Engineering and displayed at the Library was cynosure of the exhibition and attracted the viewers. UGC Chairman Prof. Mohan de Silva who was astonished to see this invention commended those who were responsible to invent this item.

An energetic young team headed by the Librarian MM Rifaudeen was responsible for organizing this Exhibition very successfully which paved the way for the young students of the Faculty of Engineering in a very profitable way and gain more knowledge in furtherance their academic programmes in a very comfortable manner.
