The trophy for the best athlete for men was won by N.Kirupakaran of the Faculty of Arts and Culture while PND Somaratne from the Faculty of Management and Commerce was awarded the Best Women athlete. MGJ.Bandara of Faculty of Engineering who excelled in Cricket, Soccer, Volley Ball and Elle and deprived of participating in the Athletic meet owing to his unexpected accident was given an appreciation award for his excellence performance.
The meet chaired by Sports Advisory Board Chirman Dr.MBM Ismail was attended by the Registrar H.Abdul Saththar as Chief Guest and the Deans Dr. MIS Safeena(FAS), As-Sheik SMM Mazahir (FIA), Dr SM Junaideen (FI) Dr. MA Aliff (Acting FAC), Ms. MGH Safeena (Acting . FMC), SM Alif (Acting - FAC) and Director Student Support Services and Welfare Dr. A Ramees as guest of honours.
The Athletic meet and the tournaments were conducted very successfully by a Team from the Department of Physical Education of SEUSL headed by its In Charge MLA Thahir and comprising of IM Kathafy ( Instructor in Physical Education- Secretary of the Meet) and SMB Azath - Instructor in Physical Education- Event presentation Manager)
Out of the tournaments conducted for 12 games, Engineering Faculty became Champions in 6 games and Faculty of Management and Commerce became winners in 2 games.
