A one day workshop on "Preparation of Research proposal" organized by Staff Development Centre (SDC) of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka in association with Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Sciences was held on Wednesday ( Sept. 22) at the Auditorium of the SDC.

The workshop chaired by the Director of SDC Dr. MIM Jazeel was attended by the Deans, Heads of Departments, Administrative Officers, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers and other Academics of all sectors.

Open University of Sri Lanka Chemistry Department's Prof. JCN Rajendra and Prof. Sithy S.Iqbal and Prof. Dr. Eugene Wickramanayake, Emeritus Professor of Anatomy, University of Peradeniya participated as the main Resource Personnel. Methodology in Scientific Research, Types of Research , Why is ethics important, Ethics Codes, Writing research proposal, What makes a good proposal, Who is likely to read your proposal, Aims and objectives of the proposal, Design the proposal, Tips for proposal writing, Writing the project proposal and Ten commandments were some of the interesting topics discussed at the Workshop by the Resource Personnel. Doubts and suspicions raised by the participants were cleared by the Resource Personnel.
