The South Eastern University of Sri Lanka will have Church soon for its Christian students to accomplish their religious obligations' and their masses. The foundation stone for the construction of Church project was held at Oluvil Campus on Thursday under the patronage of Fr. Kumar Rajah of St.Thomas College of Teacher Education, Tuticorin of Tamil Nadu, India.

A simple ceremony to mark the laying of Foundation stone organized by University's Good Shepherd Youth Society was also attended by Rev.Fr. Sellar of Karaithivu Church, Registrar H.Abdul Saththar, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr.S.M.Junaideen, Student Support Services and Welfare Director Dr A. Ramees, Asst. Lecturer in Economics DL Sandiya Dilanee.

The special "Sermon" was offered by Rev. Fr.Kumar Rajah followed by Rev. Brian Sellar before the foundation stones were laid by the Guests.
