Location

This Cultural Museum is now redesigned and relocated in the Ashroff Memorial Library at the premises of South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. The University is located in the Kalmunai - Akkaraipattu Road in in Oluvil, in the Amparai district of the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. It is profound to note that this Museum is situated between the two famous surf points and tourist attraction in the world, which is Passykuda and Arugambay.

There are several ways to approach the Museum. You could drive through Kandy, Mahiyangana and go to Amparai, from there you drive on the Kalmunai road and turn off from the karathivu junction which leads to Oluvil village. This journey would take approximately 4½ to 5 hours from Kandy. Or you could take the Polonaruwa Batticalowa road and drive through Kalmunai. This would take approximately 5 to 6 hours from Dambulla.
