VLE - Department of Management and Information Technology
B.Sc. Management and Information Technology general degree program was introduced by the Faculty of Management and Commerce of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka as a joint major featuring 65% of IT related subjects and 35% Management and other related subjects to serves the regional academic needs as well as country needs in the field of Management and Information Technology focusing the role of managers in a modern business has recently evolved in such a way that it demands a combination of management competence blended with capability to exploit the developments in the field of Information and Communication Technology as a powerful tool for achieving excellence in enterprises’ management. All the organizations in all sectors such as service, manufacturing and government need the people who are coupled or blended with the knowledge and skills in the field of management and information communication technology.
The purpose of this degree program is to provide excellent education in the field of Management and Information Technology in order to produce human resources with necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform individual and organizational functions in an organization and with due concern to practical exposure to the relevant industry in the changing business environment.
