New buildings for Technology Faculty


The foundation Stone laying ceremony for the new buildings for the Faculty of Technology was held at the Faculty premises on the 20th September, 2017 at 8.30 am.

The ceremony held under the patronage of the Vice Chancellor Prof.MMM Najim was graced by the Chairman University Grant Commission Prof.Mohan de Silva.

Deans Dr.MGM Thariq (FT), ML Fouzul Ameer (FAC), As-Sheik SMM Mazahir (FIA), Registrar H.Abdul Sathar and Heads of Departments FT Dr. BGN Sewwandi and S.L Abdul Haleem too were present at the ceremony.

The building complex costing Rs.450 million set apart by the Ministry of Higher Education will comprise an Administration block, Laboratories, Lecture halls, Lecture theater, Faculty Auditorium and a Canteen with all amenities. Works Engineer MSM.Faseel has been entrusted with the task of this project and all these projects are expected to be completed in two years' time.
