Faculty Day in a fitting manner by FMC
The Faculty of Management and Commerce celebrated the "Faculty Day" organizing a series of programs to mark the event on Monday (16th October) in a fitting manner.
The programs held under the patronage of Dean of the Faulty Dr. S.Gunapalan was attended by the Vice Chancellor Prof.MMM Najim as Chief Guest.
Opening of the Laboratory II was the highlights of the events where Vice Chancellor Pro. Najim ceremonially declared opened the laboratory by cutting the ribbon followed by the unveiling of the plaque of the portraits of past Deans who rendered yeoman services not only the Faculty but also to the University's developments. The academics who had rendered invaluable services more than 20 years were appreciated and the successful conducting of 200th Faculty Board meeting too was remembered. Heads of departments, senior lectures, staff and other nonacademic staff too participated in these events.
The other important feature of the Faculty Day was the mass shramadana at the Faculty premises where a large number of students actively engaged in the clearance of wastes, rubbish's and vessels that may pave the way for the breading of dengue mosquitos.
Friendly and exhibition limited over cricket matches too were in the card to mark the day.
