3rd International Symposium - Faculty of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language (FIA)
"Organizing a symposium of this nature is vital importance to enhance once knowledge and gain a vast experience. Although this is a big task and challenge, the role played by the University Community in this venture with full of enthusiasm is praiseworthy and commendable.Hence, I sincerely thank those who have taken great interest to make this symposium a great success" Said the Vice -Chancellor of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka Prof. MMM Najim.
Third International Symposium on the theme Role of Islamic and Arabic Students in the National Development organized by the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language was held at the Faculty's Auditorium chaired by the Dean of the Faculty As-Sheikh SMM Mazahir on Monday. Addressing the Academics Prof. Najim further said that he was happy to note that academics and scholars from many countries are participating in this conference as paper presenters and session chairs. Hence, this symposium would give an opportunity for academics and research students to share their knowledge in the field of Islamic studies and Arabic Language and pave the way for more international collaborations among Academics on different themes of research.
Prof.Najim also thanked thanked the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language for organizing this event with limited resources for the third successive year to achieve the mission and mission of the University. He also wished all success to all the paper presenters and he encouraged publishing their research findings in indexed reputed journals with the outcome of discussions held at the symposium. Guest speaker Prof. Zulkiple Abd.Ghani, Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Sain Islam Malaysia who stressed importance of Symposium also delivered a lengthy address on their Libraray and how it's functioning.
At the conclusion of the Symposium the Chief Guest Vice Chancellor Prof. Najim presented a memento to the Guest speaker Prof. Zulkiple Abd.Ghani. Senior Lecturer SM Jalaldeen proposed the vote of thanks.
